SkinCure Oncology transforms provider engagement with Median.co
SkinCure Oncology is a leader in comprehensive cutaneous oncology solutions, specializing in Image-Guided Superficial Radiotherapy (IG-SRT)—an advanced non-invasive treatment technology for common skin cancers. With over 500 employees and partnerships with more than 400 dermatology practices nationwide, the company has supported the treatment of more than 150,000 patients.
To further support these providers, SkinCure Oncology developed a powerful web-based clinical tool designed with AI (via Figma). While the design was functional, the team recognized a critical need to "own" the mobile experience through a native app to drive deeper engagement for physicians on the go. After briefly considering high-cost freelance options, they found Median.co.
The decision was immediate: “I didn’t need to waste any more time. I knew this was it,” says Rachel Mishowski, Clinical Growth Manager at SkinCure Oncology.
The challenge: Launch a professional mobile app in time for a major industry conference
SkinCure Oncology faced an urgent, immovable deadline: a major industry conference where the CEO expected to debut the mobile app. They knew that building a native app from scratch was extremely difficult within the time-frame, and the internal team lacked the specialized coding knowledge required for a traditional build.
While the initial prototype was functional, moving beyond design exposed a major gap. The team lacked the technical expertise required to convert their web app into a fully functional mobile app. “We realized very quickly I would have to learn an entirely new coding skill to make this work,” says Mishowski.
Beyond the timeline, SkinCure had zero visibility into how providers interacted with their digital resources. They knew they needed to understand user behavior and geographic usage to stay competitive with existing market solutions.
The solution: Deploy a high-performance webview app with native clinical tracking
SkinCure Oncology partnered with Median.co to convert their AI-designed web app into a professional native app called DART AUC, for iOS and Android. By choosing Median.co’s web-to-app conversion platform, they avoided a costly 6-12 month rebuild while gaining the "sticky" features of a native app.
To meet the high-stakes deadline, Median.co’s onboarding team guided SkinCure through a phased roll-out strategy that prioritized immediate functionality for the purposes of launching before the conference.
Key solution components
Rapid deployment: Streamlined the transition from a web-based AI tool to a mobile app published to the Apple App Store & Google Play in roughly one week.
Advanced analytics: Integration of Google Firebase Analytics to track engagement frequency and geographic utilization.
Median JavaScript Bridge: Enabled custom event tracking for specific clinical links, allowing the team to measure which resources providers found most valuable.
Direct communication: Implementation of push notifications to keep the app at the forefront of the provider’s mobile experience.
With Median.co's solution, I saved a month of my own time. Once I started to try to figure out how to code, I realized quickly that I was going to have to learn an entirely new skill. It was crunch time for us, and that's when I knew I needed to get help from experts.
Median supports all leading web platforms

The results: A data-driven mobile presence delivered on a fraction of the traditional timeline
The partnership allowed SkinCure Oncology to arrive at their industry conference with a fully branded, professional mobile app. The app was published to the app stores on the day of the event, perfectly aligning with the CEO's vision.
The native app provides a significant competitive advantage: SkinCure’s new mobile offering remains visually appealing and offers superior data-tracking capabilities that will inform their long-term clinical strategy.
Business impact snapshot: SkinCure Oncology + Median.co
700+ hours saved: By bypassing the need to learn native coding, the team saved approximately one month of full-time internal development and research.
100% on-time delivery: The app was published to the app stores on the day of the national conference, meeting a critical corporate deadline.
85%+ cost reduction: Choosing Median.co over other platforms saved "substantially more" than the cost of developing a native app from scratch.
Lean execution model: A single non-technical contributor launched the app, avoiding the need for multiple developers or external agencies.
Ultimately, by developing their provider-facing mobile app using Median.co, SkinCure Oncology successfully converted their AI-built ("vibe coded") web app into a native app in just one week. This speed and efficiency allowed them to hit a high-pressure launch date while gaining the clinical engagement data necessary to scale their mission of providing advanced skin cancer treatments.
The fact that Median.co was so competitive on price and able to provide a quick turnaround was a huge win. Added to that, Median.co's partnership with us—being available at any time to offer insights and answers, was an added benefit. Plus, the data analytics package and push notifications were a boost to our project.
