The beginnings of Median
Median was launched in early 2014 as GoNative by John Snyder and Weiyin He, former college roommates whose careers brought them back together in New York City.
They noticed that, while there were a growing number of platforms available for creating websites, there wasn't a singular, simple solution available to develop native apps that display web-based content.
Then, as now, native mobile apps provide a far elevated user experience, and their presence in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store builds credibility and adds convenience for users.
